Already here! Your dream loudspeaker, “new B&W 600 Series”. This is the small loudspeaker that is prize from EISA Award, the best design of ‘compact loudspeaker’ award, by voting from leading magazines throughout Europe and Best Product in 2007-2008 as well as “Product of the Year 2007” from What Hi-Fi UK.
      In Thailand “B&W DM 685 model” is becoming the Best By instead of former DM60253 model. This DM 685 is two way shelf-loudspeaker, size (wide x length x height) 198X340X331 mm. It’s box is rather be deeper than wider and have narrower frontage than 602 model. This make the driver and bass reflex at front side are away from back wall as much as possible.

Thickness of box’ wall is about 16 mm. Inside, it is flamed squared shape tap around the box and batten stick to the front side to make the wall be as strong as possible. Moreover, it would prevent vibration of wall in different frequency that is not stacked to decrease resonant.
     
Bass Driver/Mid range is weaved Ceflar as “B&W” ordinary. It is framed by Keflar fiber that bring to weave and mix between resin’s framing. “Keflar” is similar to fabric, light weight with special attribute, that is, decompose vibration very well. It is cone with low resonant. “Resin” assist cone to be stable and strong that allow the lively and clear sound. Finally, Coating this work with polymer to caulk Keflar fiber as well as secompose surplus energy.
DM 685 model use the technique of Brass Driver/ Mid range  cone’s movement in phase plug instead of dustcap to make cone move independently as much as possible.
         Tweeter Dome is the new metallic dome that used as Neodymium magnet that is smaller. This can make the closest installation to Bass Driver / Mid range’s cone. The result, the frequency at frequency cut off  is more harmonious and assist in beeter phase and angle of sound distribution
   
These two drivers can respond the wide frequency especially which frequency cut off of these loudspeakers is 4KHz that higher than loudspeaker in the same size. On the average, it often allocate the frequency cut off  at 2-3KHz. Loudspeaker’s pole is 24 K golded Bi-Wire metal and suitable with 25-100 W Amp.
The nature of DM 685’s sound has high bass, low and smooth with mass but not too much until invase mid tone and treble. The singer’s voice is clean and clear. Mid and high frequency is not much volume but adequate, neither high or sharp. High bass is firm. Mid bass frequency is mild, clean and not too much thick, therefore, can  support many styles of music, especially, Pop. This kind of loudspeaker can perform Pop music better than other loudspeakers because almost of normal loudspeaker will have strong mid tone and too high treble when playing Pop music.      

DM 685 has voice and melody’s flow, good design with good wide image and soundstage as well as good focus position. “If we use this kind of loudspeaker with lively CD player or amplifier that has high mid tone, “685” will release tone adequately and not hurt your ears at all.
